Prior to the settlement of your property and moving to your new place of residence, there are a lot of people who need to be notified. Below, we compiled a printable, Pre-settlement check list for your convenience.

  • Post Office - Mail redirection.
  • Pensions - Child endowment.
  • Social Services.

  • Library.
  • Dog Licence and Registration.

    • State Government Utilities
  • Gas: - Alinta Gas.
  • Telephone: Telstra / Optus / Virgin
  • Electricity: - Synergy.
  • Department of Transport: Car Licence and Driving licence.
  • Water Authority: Water rates (see Settlement Agent)
  • Boat / Jetty Licence.

    • Business
  • Bank: Credit Card, Bank accounts, Mortgage.
  • Insurance: Life, Car, household, furniture, boat.
  • Your Health Fund.
  • Lawn mowing Contractor.
  • Your Employer.
  • Got a Garden Bag.

    • Family
  • Club Memberships: Sporting, Social, RAC, Scouts / Guides.
  • The Relatives / Friends.
  • Do you have a Newspaper delivery.
  • Your Church.
  • Your Dentist.
  • Your Doctor.
  • Subscriptions of any sort.
  • Blood Bank.
  • St Johns Ambulance.
  • Vet

    • Its quite amazing how many people and departments need to know that you have moved! There is nothing worse than finding out the car ran out of licence 3 months ago because the relevant authority sent it to your old address!
